Venice, unfortunately, seems a little run down to what I expected. It is also very easy to get lost here. Still I managed to locate Piazza San Marco with the Basilica di San Marco & the Bridge of Sighs, and the Rialto Bridge.

I tried a Gelato (Italian icecream) and enjoyed a genuine Italian meal or two. Generally everything at the time seemed to be very expensive, moreso after the cheapness of the Czech Republic.

The second day in Venice included a trip round the islands Murano (glass blowing) and Burano (lace-making) followed by a ride in a gondola down the Grand Canal at sunset whilst the Venice Regatta was going on.

After Venice we skirted around the small republic of San Marino to Ancona then drove onwards to Rome.
